Description
Salbutamol Sulphate is also known as a bronchodilator. bronchodilator inhaler or “reliever” inhaler is commonly prescribed to people having asthma or COPD to help their breathing. Albuterol (also known as salbutamol) is used to treat wheezing and shortness of breath caused by breathing problems such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Albuterol belongs to a class of drugs known as bronchodilators.
Salbutamol Sulphate mode of operation
Albuterol (Salbutamol) promotes the production of intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), which enhances the binding of intracellular calcium to the cell membrane. This action decreases the calcium concentration within cells and results in the relaxation of smooth muscle and bronchodilation.
Synonyms of Salbutamol Sulphate
Salbutamol is also known as Aerolin, Asmaven, Ecovent, Loftan, Salbumol, Salbuvent, Venetlin, Volmax, salbutamol hemisulfate.
Salbutamol Sulphate active ingredients:
ipratropium bromide monohydrate, salbutamol sulphate
Salbutamol Sulphate and Human diseases:
Salbutamol, also known as albuterol is a medication administered to open up the medium and large airways in the lungs. It is used to treat asthma, including asthma attacks, exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Salbutamol Sulphate benefits/effectiveness/results:
Salbutamol is generally used with an inhaler or nebulizer, but it is also available in a pill, liquid, and intravenous solution. Onset of action of the inhaled version is typically within 15 minutes and lasts for two to six hours. Salbutamol has been used to treat acute hyperkalemia, as it stimulates potassium flow into cells, thus lowering the potassium in the blood.
